To achieve the A-Level in Accounting you must take the A-Level exams. You will be responsible for booking your exams. We can help you to find your nearest exam centre and we have 7 recommended exam centres across the country. You can contact us for help with this whenever you are ready.

Alternatively, choose the A level Accounting including Exams – we will then book and pay for your exams on your behalf.

There will be 2 paper-based exams, which will cover all of the units studied. A more detailed breakdown of the exam details is provided below:

  • Weighing: 50% of A-Level Total Marks: 120
  • Assessed: Sections 1-8, and 14-18 of the subject content

  • The section is worth 40 marks Section B has two structured questions each worth 20 marks. The section is worth 40 marks Section C has two extended answer questions worth 25 marks. The section is worth 50 marks. [/accordion]

Course Duration

You have 2 years to complete this course. Your only deadlines are the A-Level examinations, which take place in June. You can book onto these examinations whenever you are ready and we can provide you with a list of exam centres to help you with this. Students are advised to contact exam centres well in advance of their intended exam dates, as cut-off dates sometimes change.

Study Method

This course enables you to study for an A-Level in Accounting by distance learning at home or at work. Your course materials will be sent by post or via email, you choose! Your course pack will include self-assessment exercises and tutor-marked study questions, so you can monitor your progress.

Course Outcome

Upon successful completion, the exams of you will receive an A-Level in Accounting issued by AQA. You will be responsible for booking and paying for your exams.
