Paper 1 – Non-Calculator

  • Type: Written examination
  • Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Weighing: 33⅓% of the GCSE
  • Total Marks: 80
  • Assessed: Content from all parts of the course
  • Assessment Type: A mix of question styles, from short, single-mark questions to multi-step problems

Paper 2 – Calculator

  • Type: Written examination
  • Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Weighing: 33⅓% of the GCSE
  • Total Marks: 80
  • Assessed: Content from all parts of the course
  • Assessment Type: A mix of question styles, from short, single-mark questions to multi-step problems

Paper 3 – Calculator

  • Type: Written examination
  • Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Weighing: 33⅓% of the GCSE
  • Total Marks: 80
  • Assessed: Content from all parts of the course
  • Assessment Type: A mix of question styles, from short, single-mark questions to multi-step problems
  • Although you are assessed formally by examination, you will also be required to submit tutor-marked assignments. These are designed to help you and monitor your progress.
  • If you choose to study this course you will need to take the higher-level examinations

COURSE DURATION

You will have 12 months to complete the full GCSE Mathematics course from the date you receive your materials. You will be able to study at your own pace and in your own time without the pressure of tight deadlines.
